Ford Pinto/MX5 NC N7 adapter

This adapter plate was designed to bolt a Ford Pinto engine to an MX5 NC N7 gearbox using as many of the engines standard parts as possible. It utilizes the following parts. The pinto flywheel, starter and a type 9 pressure plate with MX5 22 spline 1.8/2.0 friction plate.  We recomend mocking this up out of the car. Spigot bearing RX8017 is to be used with this adapter. Fitting kit RX8055 can be used to bolt the engine adapter and gearbox bellhousing together.
